Everyone needs a little sunshine, rainbows—and sharp, pointy teeth! Aden is the happiest, snuggliest stone-cold murder muffin you’ll ever meet. In everyday life, he’s a quiet, ever-smiling companion who loves nothing more than lounging on the couch and soaking up endless neck scratches. He’s never met a stranger—human or canine—and is an absolute joy to live, work, and play with.
But on live quarry? He’s the devil incarnate.
Our breed standard allows for working scars, but it doesn’t quite cover the toll that true working terriers take on their mouths. Born with perfect dentition, Aden has since lost nearly 22 teeth—fractured, broken, or completely obliterated—thanks to earthdog, earthwork, and barn hunt. JAWS OF STEEL. Metal, rock, wood, PVC? If it stands between him and his work, he’s going through it.
And yet, in a heartbeat—0.1 seconds, to be exact—he flips from snarling and snapping to cuddles and kisses. That’s the beauty of a true working terrier.
